Finally got around to visiting Super Tomato in Cathays, Cardiff.

Didn't have long and needed a fun family game for a (probably rainy) holiday so grabbed a copy of California Games for the Master System. Really nice shop and friendly staff. :)
Go in Super Tomato most Saturdays really decent guy really into his games and GI Joe he even gave me a Commodore 64 and some Turtles Foot Soldiers for free :D
Did my first visit to the shop myself last week. Awesome shop, packed full of stuff, got more distracted by the Transformers toys than the games though. The bizarre experience of a rather 'famous' DC collector from the US just happening to be in the shop on the same day I went in made it all a slightly surreal experience all in all.

I'm glad places like that still exist. I don't really understand how they keep afloat, but am happy they do! It's a shame they don't have more space, as they could put on gaming evenings, etc.

Famous DC collector? :?:

How about a game screenshot quiz? Amiga, DOS, Megadrive and Commodore 64.

I've gone a bit PS2 mad lately...

Splashdown 2 Rides Gone Wild
Splashdown
Vexx
Dr Muto
Gungriffon Blaze
Primal
R Type Final
Pinball Hall of Fame
Fantavision
Maximo
Maximo va Army of Zin
The Mask of Kri
Legend of Kay
X-treme Express World Grand Prix
Kuri Kuri Mix
Sky Odyssey

Spent about £17 on that lot....

A couple of weeks ago my brother gave me some money as an early birthday present cos he needs to start saving for a trip he's taking to Japan in a few months.

So I put in an order with Rob Webb. A few hours ago it arrived...

I NOW HAVE A TURBOGRAFX!!!

And these games:
Alien Crush (awesome!)
Cratermaze (basic but fun)
JJ & Jeff (kinda like the original Wonder Boy - shame they took the peeing out compared to the Japanese version!)
Legendary Axe (pretty cool)
Victory Run (not the best game but I'm a sucker for a racer)
Vigilante (excellent conversion and brick hard)

Just the one this week....but one that's been the bane of my existence for months. This puppy is hugely difficult to find as a UK version:

So, both chuffed and relieved to finally have found a mint one. :D

Very nice Trev - don't think I've even seen a copy to be able to have foolishly left one behind at some point. You'll have to let us know if it's worth hunting for!
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.
