Muahaha. I agree with some of those. I sold my PAL copy of Final Fantasy VII and traded with an NTSC one to run on my chipped PS1 because i couldn't stand how squashed and ugly the PAL game was.

But it looks to be a good haul overall, as the PAL disease didn't affect ALL those games there :D

Got the Pro Drums for my Rock Band setup. I now have three drum kits, two standard guitars, one Pro Guitar, the keyboard and two mics.

Also got a Mega Drive and games, which also had the Powerbase Convertor. So I'll have to get some more games (MD and SMS).

Not a bad haul.

Even though I already have two of the things, I bought another Dreamcast.

1) £3 - yes, THREE QUID - for a boxed one was FAR too good to turn down!
2) You can never have too many Dreamcasts - especially if you have my kind of luck with them.

Seller was a big Resident Evil fan :)

Some decent PS1 pickups hidden in the junk!

Paid £90 for all of it, warts an all. Chuffed.
Hi, Tux
That's a big haul. If there's any bits in there you don't want maybe you could consider the Random Niceness Plus thread. All you have to do is take something you want from the thread and replace it with something from your stash of roughly similar niceness. Anyway just a thought and apologies in advance for the shameless plug. :D

^ As I said it's all about luck. I've never had a problem with my 360 yet I've been through six PSPs and four DSs.

It also means I can put my horribly yellowed, sudden reset-afflicted DC in permanent storage - after over 14 years service, at least 13 of those fighting against its myriad faults, hissy fits and paddys it's the kindest thing to do.

Do the SD card drives help with the sudden resets? Or is that an unrecoverable condition.

As for my dreamcast it is a uk console in a NTSC Sega Sports black console case I got for £1.00 from a boot sale. The innards appeared to have lost a battle with a uk mains supply but the case was immaculate so I swapped it out. Sure I got a black controller with it but cant really remember.

Looks nice next to my PS3.

I thought that the 'fix' involved just opening the DC up and doing some soldering work somewhere to permanently get rid of the reset issue. Unless that's something else I'm thinking of.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Its been ages sine I looked at any of the mods and repairs as im a bit wary of using my own consoles just in case. The sd card loader looked like a good idea to save wear on the laser but if the reset thing still happens then at the moment id probably give a mod a go.
