Very nice sscott :D

I picked up MLB 07: The Show and Euro 2008 on PS3. Was really hoping to find loads of PS3 games in America that I wanted, but that was all there was. I forgot to go back on release day for MGS4 too :(

Bought Condemned 2 off my mate for a tenner, he then gave me
Condemned and Fear because he's trying to clear out his 360 collection - the beers were on me last night! :)

Had a moment of madness and bought the full Rock Band set!
first set of drums were broken so had a good jam last night with the 2 guitars and a variety of singers. Really good fun! :D

Got a replacement set today (although the shop drone tried to tell me it was down to EA to replace...one manager chat later I have my new set).

Been drumming with 2 guitarists all afternoon....drums are HARD!!
Have tomorrow off so will be getting stuck into solo modes.

Was gonna get the drum kit last week. It was only $80, but the box was far too big for me to get in my luggage :(

God Of War on PS2. Wish someone would make a film of this, a sort of up-to-date Clash Of The Titans.

Um, no they are not actually!

Several slight differences, but differences all the same.

: Some of the artwork that can be un-locked differs on both versions.

: The voices have a different pitch on the CCC version. Actually sounds much like the SNES version.

ANd the BIGGEST problem and change that proves they are NOT direct ports are the load times.

The PS SF Collection 2 only loads on these occasions:
- Right before the match-up
- Loading a bonus stage
- Loading an ending
And the load time is very short, definately shorter than the CCC versions.

As it happens, the PS2 versions of SF on the CCC has the SAME load times yet in MORE places. In addition to the above, it also loads:
- starting the game
- after the match

So there you have it. Small differences, but differences all the same. And the one thing I HATE is the load times after the match. On a system such as the PS2, they are totally unexcusable, yet understandable on the PS due to it's RAM limitations.

Load times for a game this old on hardware such as the PS2 is nothing short of a travesty! It's funny cause this makes the SNES version STILL the best and closest arcade conversion.

Had a good fathers day, my parents looked after the kids meaning we could convert out Renault espace into a small van and piled it full of stuff to take to car boot belonging to us and various relatives.
Made over £100 from selling after gving some money to said relations.

But better still got a ton of bargains at the end when we and eveyone else were packing up to go home, a gameboy advance sp with charger and pokemon game for £3 (Perfect for daughters upcoming 6th birthday.) N64 with about a dozen games inc Zelda, Mario Kart, Mario 64 £25 (and a free Sega GG) PS1 With 5 games £5 and a SNES with Pilot wings and a wildcard converter £3

I might have to go to Car boot at the end more often

Retro wise I picked up some old computer books from my local village fair about the BBC micro and Pokemon Stadium N64

Yes, I'm not sure if it works yet. Love the artwork on the games, that amateurish feel reminds me of the '80s enterpenaur bedroom coding ethic - long since gone on the million budget games of the present.
