Game purchases:

Army Corps of Hell (Vita)
Silent Hill HD Collection (PS3)
Boom Street (Wii)
Scaler (PS2)

What's your verdict on the silent hill collection? Reviews are a little all over the place on this. And it's hard to know whether the good reviews are just sentimental to the amazing original games, or whether they truely like these updates/ports.

Starting to build a new library for a new 360. Bought Bully and cricket 2010. I bought the 360 at a good time I think, tons of discounted games around if I don't want new releases :)

Time Crisis 3 Boxset (PS2)

Think I managed to get it in without the misses knowing!

DMC HD Collection from Shopto. Kind of forgot I preordered this but I'll be looking forward to playing DMC1&3 again. I might revisit DMC2 to remind me what I was thinking when I paid full price for it back in the day

I've not opened the game yet. To be honest, all the screenshots I saw the other day, comparing the HD versions to the originals, has really put me off playing the new ones. It looks very disappointing. The atmosphere is mostly what made the games so creepy for me, and seeing as they've cut right back on the fog and grubby textures, it seems like they've taken 10 steps back. I will get round to playing the games, but I've just lost all excitement for playing them at the moment.

I completely forgot that was out  Any good?

And I know what you mean about DMC 2....luckily I didn't pay full price for it, I bought it off a mate for £10 after he'd finished with it though, and even that felt like too much
Sig pic temporarily removed...The Magnificent 7 will ride again 8)

It should be delivered tomorrow so I'll let you know. From what I've read the games (well 1&3) have been ported perfectly - 60fps, remapped controls for DMC, and no new glitches ala SH Collection. Its not perfect though as the menu's have not been improved for the HD collection and like previous HD Collections the FMV's have not been improved.

Mass Effect 3 and Silent Hill HD Collection* on the way back from work. Looking forward to when I have the time to try them.

*Except it's not a collection, is it, Konami? I know SH4 dropped the ball a little, but it was still quite decent. And what about the PS original? Feh.

Bought these from Grainger games today, quite pleased:

I also treated myself to Mass Effect 3 on PS3. Still only part-way through number 2 but it's on sale at Zavvi and I couldn't ignore the price

Roadkill on the CD32 (looks pretty good, and it was only a fiver) and Bleem! Dreamcast for Gran Turismo 2. I already had a copied disc for GT2 bleem, but I've not seen many of the actual Bleem! discs up for sale so happy to add it to the rapidly expanding DC collection.

I recently got the preowned PSP (white). Been looking everywhere for it as I never own one before. Having to browsed every stores and noticed the slim models were all gone, I have to settle with the original phat model.

Except that it's Calamity Trigger which is as good as worthless.
