As for my dreamcast it is a uk console in a NTSC Sega Sports black console case I got for £1.00 from a boot sale. The innards appeared to have lost a battle with a uk mains supply but the case was immaculate so I swapped it out. Sure I got a black controller with it but cant really remember.
Looks nice next to my PS3.
You'd still need a CD to run the SD though, so the reset issue would still be a problem. Also, there's not a massive amount that works just on the SD card yet (although I've got to admit I've not really dipped my toes a huge amount into using the SD card yet, and haven't checked anything in a while).
Have 5 Dreamcasts set up at the moment, 1 lovely white one downstairs that sounds like a Helicopter constantly, my main one which has yellowed badly, a Sega Sports one which is the quietest DC I own, and 2 Japanese ones, but no reset problems on any of them currently. Constantly worrying that one will go on the blink though, just waiting to find a cheap 6th to have on stand by!
