Um...is it just me that wonders why more people haven't picked up on Snatcher being bought for a measly £2?!? by this jammy so-and-so?!?

For a game that sells for over £100 easily on ebay, that's one of the bargains of the century surely? I always wanted to play the game but could never buy it at a price I felt comfortable paying then I sold my Mega CD anyway. Ho hum.

Im going to fire up the MCD to see what the fuss is over. Is there a reason its so expensive as Retro collect list it as common.

- By Hideo Kojima
- Is supposed to be a great game
- No other English language version ever released (other ports Japan only)

I think there's just more demand from people who want to play the game than there are copies. This of course feeds into the collector's hands as it makes the game more and more expensive...

Really, it's a crown jewel of Mega CD gaming, one of the best there is on the system. I'm not sure you realise how much of a bargain £2 was  . Even if you don't like the game, you can re-sell it for a big profit on the evilbay so you win either way.

Well said. The USA version for Sega CD has been commanding about $300 recently.

Id seen it mentioned before - The man in the shop said 'you wouldnt want Mega CD games- suppose theyre just too old' . Half expected the usual suspects - my pokerface held up fine though.

As I noted in my older post those snes games were quite tidy for a collector , the master system stuff may have a bit of appeal (went back for Summer Games but the guy had gone home by then). Same shop had Turok 3 a few months back.

Whilst I feel a bit guilty I will be keeping it anyway as the MD is my main console.

Japanese Xbox 360
Ketsui (for above)

Cotton Boomerang (Saturn)
Darius Gaiden (Saturn)
Layer Section (Saturn)
Phelios (Megadrive)

A very rewarding and slightly pricey couple of weeks! But worth it in the end :)

Both awesome. I got these earlier in the year from some people here on the forum. Had a decent year picking up some great shmups, problem is I want a load of the pricey ones now too!

Yep, I'd never played Phelios before and was surprised at how good it was. I think it was actually a brand new mint game too; no signs of wear anywhere! Not bad for a tenner!

The "pricey ones" are beginning to appear in my collection now. Bought Cotton Boomerang and Zero Gunner 2 within the last 3 months - glad I won't have to buy them both again!
