Trying to get some good games in to my PS1 collection and this week I picked Metal gear solid and Spyro year of the dragon from the local retro game shop, quite pricey considering it was a retail shop but I couldn't be bothered with any more Ebay scams.

Also got a great condition mega drive II for £4 at a cash generators! Guess it is worth checking them out eh?

Always worth checking out the cash/crack generators/converter stores. Some of the staff have there heads screwed on and realize its retro kit but the downside is they reference eBay for prices so want top £££. But sometimes, as you have discovered, they will let something good slip through the cracks.

My local cash generators has an un-boxed mint (no discoloring etc) Dreamcast, 4 pads, 4 vmus and 40 games in the window for £49.99 and so tempted. I know if I leave it for a week it will drop in price but then run the risk of it being snapped up. The games aren't great, nothing of high value included, but really want another Dreamcast and don't want the hassle of eBay and the current trend of ridicules p&p charges!!! grrrr..

Consoles:

Vectrex (No games, but works pretty good and it was a cheap find.)

The beauty of the Vectrex....built in mine storm.

I loved my Vectrex until it died, always wanted to seal it up and make a fish tank out of it like the early Macs but never got around to it.
Indeed, I love that Minestorm is built in. Sad to hear it died, I'm going to dread the day the white spot appears with all it's evil glory.

Buys of the day:
Atari Jaguar CD (unboxed), Atari Jaguar(unboxed) and 14 boxed games. Twas at my local retro game market stall, picked it up for £125! Couldn't believe my luck.

Picked up some decent DS games all from GAME this week.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time £5
Korg DS-10 Synthesizer £8
Kirby Mouse Attack £8 This had literally just been traded in and was sitting on the counter

I also bought the Rebelstar tactics game about two weeks ago from that ebay seller posted here, it never arrived so they sent a second one which still has not arrived, I'm giving it till Saturday and if it still hasn't come by then which I don't expect it to now after so long I'll ask for my money back, I'm guessing they might be a bit funny about it but I'm not standing for that.

Solar Striker on the gameboy.

It's a basic but decent enough shmup. It also looks surprisingly good on the gba.

This was a launch title for the original GB, the soundtrack to the first level is AMAZING in my opinion anyway :)

No, it is quite amazing. For such a simple little game, it's one of the Game Boy's best, even for a launch title.
JSW's Guff Emporium! <- My bit of t'internet.
