Tales of Vesperia - £2.99 from work. As much fun as it looks it is Cex fodder - I just couldnt let the other greedy tw@ts get everything.

Where on earth do you work that sold Vesperia for £2.99!?
I asked for orange. It gave me lemon lime!

A Cash Generator store - trust me it was a rare mistake

Does make me want a 360 though as it looks right up my street.

Why would I want to rebuy it?
Because of this line

"Still I have to have it in my PS2 arcade collection"

I thought you meant you didn't have it.

^Its the suffering of collecting, I have to have the censored arcade games, its a reasonable collection as I am trying not to pay over a fiver per game.

Yes, SF4 did well but that game was released over four years ago. Maybe a SF5 would sell well too but I fear Capcom have another eleventy billion Super Hyper Remix Turbo Alpha EX versions to excrete before then.
You were making the point by quoting something that relates only to re-releases of old games, so not entirely relevant.

SFxT hasn't been as well received as SFIV, hence the lower sales. Capcom completely misjudged the whole gems thing and I'm so glad fighting fans pushed back against it. Capcom's targets were wrong, there just isn't the demand for that particular game. 1.5m is still a lot of sold games regardless.

If they ever release SFV it will sell just as well as SFIV. Definitely.

And yet if those re-releases had sold well I strongly suspect you would be proclaiming how popular the series is still.
Capcom's targets were wrong
So you're an industry analyst with insider information on the internal workings of Capcom? Interesting!

An assumption based on, erm, because you're a fan and want it to.

I'm not proclaiming anything, just pointing out that you're using a quote out of context. Which you're fully aware of.

They failed to meet their targets. Clearly their targets were misjudged.

Based on nothing but pure conjecture and the definitely is obviously tongue-in-cheek, but I believe a sequel to SFIV would do just as well as SFIV.

You have no basis on which to make such a judgement.

Indeed.
