Was my birthday last week, and had 60 quid in various cards, and I honestly didn't know what to buy wth it, as I sort of buy little bits and pieces all the time, so decided rather than games, I would buy a piece of hardware, instead of frittering away my cash. In a flash of inspiration, I jumped on a GP2X going on eBay for 60 quid.
Quite ftrankly the best gaming item I've had in a long time - been debating one since seeing them advertised in RG. For my money I got the console, TV cable, battery charger, 2 rechargeable AA batteries, carry strap, keyring, screen protector, and official branded hard case, all in. Bloody bargain.
Oh and 1 gig and 2 gig SD cards - which, upon inspection, contained - about 100 Amiga games, 200 Megadrive games, MAME with 100 games, 100 ish NeoGeo games, Speccy games...basically fully loaded.
Naturally, I deleted them all. I don't condone that sort of thing.

You have to laugh at the boxart for Knights of the Sky: "Struggling against the social stigmas of the time, and the chaos of war torn Europe, two young airmen find romance in the skies"
Still, they're happy?

I'll try to visit a few charity shops in London this Saturday, hopefully I'll be lucky too!
I'll check the shop on Goodge Street as well, though I doubt I'll find bargains...
