The original 3DO version of NFS is amazing - even though it has not aged particularly well, it's still the highlight of the series for me.

And for other great 3DO games, Return Fire and SSF2T are also fantastic and very playable affairs. Too bad that the majority of games were the "FMV heavy" releases (mostly from Digital Pictures).

I remember reading that Mortal Kombat II was ear-marked for release on the system - and I couldn't stop wondering how close to "arcade perfect" it would be, guess we'll never know :cry:
Ah yes - actually it Mortal Kombat III ultimate. It was demo'd, I nean actually running at a trade show but never saw the light of day. Sadly. Well not that sadly, I never like MK.

And yes I loved the original NFS too. It was (with the possible exception of the Porsche UNleashed version) the best NFS ever. Certainly better than the PS1 and Saturn renditions of the same game.

Yeah, defo, 3DO NFS is the best version on any format.
