Cute, but the thing looks even smaller than the Gameboy Micro.

Yeah, it's certainly micro enough but that screen has to be barely an inch across and the controls surely aren't going to be too comfortable.

What a wasted opportunity? It wouldn't have been hard for them to make a full size GG and put 40-50 games on it which would have made it an absolute no-brainer purchase for me. I'm a long standing GG collector with over 300 games and accessories and I'm disgusted with what Sega are doing here.

The Game Gear is a delight to use because of its size - you take that away and what's the point? And 4 different games in each micro colour is beneath contempt.

Well, they've made a total balls up of this!

Kinda tempted in the Shining force one, but for forty quid

NAR M8!!

The main Sonic games where a bit iffy on the Game Gear due to the screen size and it was zoomed in.
Looks to feckin small to actually play anything action realated

Great idea, but poorly executed. Why so small? Why only four games per machine?

I'll probably still buy one...

I wouldn't be able to see a thing on those screens - really weird move by Sega.

As said elsewhere, a Game Gear with 40 or 50 games on it... yeah, interested.

This? No.

I need to wear reading glasses to play my Switch, I'd need a microscope for a GG micro!

They seem impractically small and overpriced for what you get, but they are cute and typically Japanese, so the fact they made something so wacky still puts a smile on my face. I'm sure it's only meant as a collector's novelty and I think it's only going to be released in Japan anyway.

It just makes me want to get a modded Game Gear with proper modern backlit display, and an everdrive GG cartridge. This seems to be a gimmick that probably could have been much more. 4 games! And that screen....if anything on the GG could do without shrinking, its the screen.

It's a collectible novelty rather than a fully-fledged console.

Screen size is confirmed at 1.15 inches / 3cm. Still, you can buy a pack of all four and you get one of those screen magnifiers thrown in for an authentically awful experience.
