New Retro-Bit wireless Saturn controllers

Post by rossi46 » Tue Nov 12, 2019 5:04 pm

Anyone else interested in these?

I had mine on pre-order ages ago and just got notified that they shipped out on the 6th Nov. They come with 2.4gHz and USB connectors for various hardware.

Mine is here today, after getting stung with a phony £14 import duty by the Royal Scam, and it's utterly ace.

I got the Slate Grey clear pad and fired off a couple of levels of Layer Section 2 on my JP Saturn. There's no lag that I can feel and it's a joy to hold. Simple to set up and it comes in what looks like the official packaging from back in the 90s. It reeks quality from every angle.

However, the Switch is where is really shines.

I bought V-Rally 4 before reading any reviews and regretted it the second I fired it up. The reviews were right: it's twitchy and over-responsive. The new Saturn pad, however makes it feel like the first time I played Sega Rally back in 1995. Maybe we'll go for a spin after all. The Sega Saturn wireless pad is the best purchase this year, by far.
Thoughts and prayers.
