No way, Pedro! In fact, could we please remove ALL post-16bit content from the magazine, thanks. Bloomin modern 3D stuff! No!

Right, I'm off to play Rocket League.

No, not yet!

The PS3 is my favourite current/modern era console, and some PS3 games are most certainly on my all time favourite list (GTA IV, WWE 2K16, Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock, Borderlands), but I wouldn't consider it retro just yet, especially when there are still games being released...

To me the PS3 is definitely not "retro".

My own view on what is or not retro is that is MUST be at least 2 generations old with no support from the copyright holder.

As such, at present the Wii is NOT Retro - at least until the end of the month when they shut down ALL the online services for the system...

I'm not entirely sure 'Retro' is really a measurement of time, with games its more of a generational thing. The PS3 still plays host to modern games in the same style as the current gen. There's no element of nostalgia or change yet.

The way I'm wired, I could live to 100 years old & still not consider anything post Megadrive/SNES era "retro"

I'm permanently stuck thinking 8-bit is the recent past, 16-bit is the present, everything after is just for the kids & I'm still waiting for the Stone Roses' 2nd album.
Same here. The PS1 isn't even retro yet in my eyes!!

Absolutely not!

Still have a friend who uses the machine as his 'main' console. Got a blu-ray player which is close enough to the latest tech and video/picture quality, still feels close enough to me to be nothing like Retro!

And don't think it was that long ago they were still releasing new games for the machine?
