Much like the PS1 mini I think the nostalgia value of the "primitive" 3D games is much less as they have not aged particularly well.
They should just remake the controllers as wireless and package them with games you can play under emulation on current gen consoles... I've got enough clutter as it is

I think there would have been much more interest in the PS classic with a few more titles that were initially assumed to be there were there...and had the emulation been better. It's a wasted opportunity sadly, even with some great games on it.
A N64 mini would be better received I think....not only would there be a good range of first party titles (even if lacking the Rare games), but Ninty have a reputation of getting these mini classics spot on quality wise with both hardware and software (just supply problems!).

Reggie has already stated that the mini program is officially over, so its highly unlikely there will be an N64 mini coming....

If it ever does happen I'd like to see one of the THQ/AKI wrestling games - these were great fun and haven't been topped since in terms of gameplay.
WCW/NWO revenge or Wrestlemania 2000.
Though I doubt Vince McMahon would allow it

To be fair, Reggie only said that it "wasn't in their planning horizon" which suggests that even if it's not happening right now, it's not ruled out for all time.
It may well be that they were ready to go, but something held the project up such as the emulation not being quite up to snuff (it still has issues on far more powerful platforms after all) or that they were struggling to clear licenses for third party (e.g. Rare) games. Or, just maybe, they've decided that it'd be better to bring the games they can to the Switch instead. It's a pretty safe bet that SNES games will be coming to the Switch later in the year, and if they could add a third platform to their online service it starts to look like a compelling offering.

I'd love to see the N64 mini become a thing- but I don't see some of the best titles on the system making it over due to the Microsoft buyout of Rare.

Zelda OOT
Zelda MM
Donkey Kong 64
Daddy Kong racing
Starfox 64
Mario Kart 64
Paper Mario
F-Zero X
Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2
Smash Bros
Wave Race
Star Wars Rogue Squadron
Mario Party 1, 2 & 3
Kirby Crystal shards
Mario tennis
Sin n Punishment
Yoshi’s Story
Excitebike 64
Mario Golf
Mischief makers
Pilot wings

Glover
Megamam 64
Ready 2 Rumble 1 & 2
Res Evil 2
Space station Silicon Valley

When you start listing what’s left after Rare. As much as they are a big miss, there’s still a tonne of games that would make it a must buy for a lot of people.

Pokemon Stadium 1 & 2 ONLY if the N64 mini can link up with the 3DS virtual console versions of the Gen 1 & 2 Pokemon games for me...

I never spent that much time on the N64, though I knew quite a few people that had one - Friends, Cousins etc - so I remember several games rather fondly
Super Mario 64
GoldenEye
Aero Fighters Assault
WCW/nWo Revenge
Not sure I'd ever get one though...
