Sad news.
I most fondly remember the music for MASK, Techno Cop and Gauntlet.

I am very upset by this news.
Here is something Ben did that you should all play in the background for the next 10 mins... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvYtt2ptvBU

I met him several times at events and he was a cracking bloke. I had a lot of laughs with him and he was an amazing musician. He will be very much missed

Re: RIP Ben Dalglish
Wanted to pay homage to the incredible talent that was Ben Daglish myself here, this man's music was some of the most creative, original and system limit pushing pieces. I especially valued the style and execution of his works on the Atari ST machine from which most of his work from the Gremln Graphics stable, games like 3D Galax, F.O.F.T, Northstar and the brilliant Super Cars series of games, this music for the best part made the gaming experience more involving and shine.
So this will be forever eketched in my mind of truly outstanding his music was, upon hearing the news, I'm numb with shock and can only fadum how his family is dealing with the loss at the moment. R.I.P Ben, your music was enlightening as was your presence in sure with the people lucky to have had the privilege in meeting you.
Rest in Peace.

Very sad news. We'll make sure some of the nice words from everyone here will be included in the magazine tribute we're running.

I met him a couple of times and he was friendly, down to earth and a thoroughly nice guy. He was an amazing musician and a great showman too. I originally owned a Spectrum so to then get a C64 too and hear some of the amazing music it could produce was quite something. From that point forward a lot of his music accompanied the years of me growing up.
I'm really sad to hear of his passing. Much love to his family and friends.

It was such an up and down day yesterday, got my new shiny Zzap 64 annual and then I read this news. RIP my thoughts go out to his family and friends. Another childhood hero gone
His music was amazing and I used to leave games running just to listen. I recorded a whole tape by placing a mic next to the TV speaker and always wanted to play it in the car. Occasionally my parents allowed it...

RIP Ben, your music will be remembered for eternity. Ben wrote great music no matter which machine he worked on form the humble Speccy to the Amiga.

RIP Ben. Your music seemed to be everywhere in the 80s and my particular favourite was Deflektor, I still fire that game up just to listen to the title music!
