And the mini has games nobody played recently because a lot of people remember them being pish
Don't really understand why you'd say that... the only pish game is 'Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six'. The other 19 titles range from good to excellent. Good mix of genres too.
Rainbow Six is great on the PC though, seems the PS1 version was somewhat compromised. I think Quake II or Medal of Honour would make better choices for a PS1 FPS representative.
Id say more Medal of Honour
Just from a sales point
Maybe even Alien Trilogy, its like every PSX bundlru has it with it
Also Toshinden is pish

I'd guess that Rainbow Six is on there because it's an early entry in a series that's still going.
As already mentioned, it was a great game for its time on PC, but I never knew the PS port was that bad. Maybe whoever picked it didn't know either?

That one seems to me to be a filler to cover another they really wanted but couldn't due to licensing. IMO there are a few like that it seems

Digital Foundry have reviewed it, said the emulation is really bad, it has rubbish sound and games.

Things are indeed looking up a bit if you've got a Logitech or Corsair keyboard about the house.
That said, there's a way to go yet before anyone puts different games or a better emulator on it.

More like hacking it to improve performance

With access to menus and plugins, how long until someone figures out how to get analogue control working?
That seems to be a way off yet. However, it is possible already to get the PAL games running at 60 Hz and turn on CRT filters, so that's two of its serious flaws negated.
To get a teeny bit technical, it appears that the device is designed to ignore most input devices other than the supplied controllers. No other Sony controllers work with it, and the same goes for most keyboards. It's just that something in the design of Logitech and Corsair's allowed them to escape the blacklist. Meanwhile, I'm sure people will be trying out every third party controller under the sun to see if they can be made to work too.

Some people are really not happy with all the games that were tested on the system but not on it.

The hacks are progressing nicely. You can now play arbitrary games on a USB flash drive and access the emulator settings menus with only a controller.

The process is still rather involved and the end result a bit clunky though, with it being possible to brick the console if you make a mistake, but I'm sure that'll be improved over time.
