Definitely excited to play a new SOR , but I'm not liking the new art direction. Doesn't fit the atmosphere of a SOR game. Could be great, could be a hot mess of a sequel. Will keep an eye out.

Tempted to pick up the LRG physical release. It's an open pre order until a week after the digital release so I may wait until the reviews.

Glad that this is coming soon. I appreciate the retro options that have been included in the game but I'm hoping I'll enjoy it as it is. SoR Remake kinda already covers the retro mash-up, so I don't feel the need for any more. Also, I want SoR4 to stand on it's own without needing propping up with old sprites, music etc.

I do like the art style a lot anyway, and it looks like you will be able to do more combos to juggle enemies mid-air?

Saw cex selling new copies of this today cheaper than amazon. Xbox and ps4 £28, switch £32. Presume its not just my store. Certainly cheaper than the limited run version of the game I nearly bought.

Edit- £25 at currys

Was tempted by a physical copy but I've heard rumblings of DLC/updates so a disc version would end up being pretty redundant in the long run. It's something that I've come to consider when going out of my way to buy physical keepers for the shelf.

Do any Switch games save to the cartridge?

I know some did for the 3DS, but I thought all Switch games save to the memory card (to allow the cloud save feature to run smoothly). I could be wrong.

Nope, not even first party does (like with the N64)

There is a new patch/update for the game.

- Updates to some of the characters i.e. Axel moves faster, has better combo ability, Grand Upper can now hit floored enemies.
- Armour removed from some of the enemy animations
- Hit box reduced for the suicidal knifer Galsias

Looks like quite a few other small changes and tiny revamps here and there (shadow guys hiding in the statues in the Ms. Y boss battle for example).

SoR4 Axel felt shockingly bad to play compared to pretty much everyone else for me, happy to see they also seem to agree!
