Wonder how much Frank was paid for having his name on the game?
In those days, probably a few hundred quid, maybe a couple of grand. With Elite and a dodgy rip off game, I guarantee it won't have been much.

Rocco (originally Rocky, but retitled sue to copyright iasuea) is an interesting one. Not the same variety of fighters, but they so show physical damage through the fight.
Rocky was a brilliant boxing game. Too shallow for today but at the time it was SO good. I still have my copy at home. Somehow I managed to buy the original Rocky game before they changed the name.

Played this on the Speccy, I remember the Canadian Crusher and Frenchie France

Wasn't aware of any issues with Nintendo...

Yeah, it's a blatant clone of the Nintendo game in terms of gameplay. However, I'm pretty sure that Elite knew from the Asteroids vs Meteors court case that they'd be in the clear so long as they didn't infringe any trademarks or use any copyrightable assets such as the graphics and sound effects.

I don't know how much Frank Bruno got out of the deal but I'm pretty sure his price would have been a lot lower than Nintendo's.
