I do hope if the Master Sword appears in this game that that doesn't suffer the same fate.
I hate to be that guy, but it does break. However it does regain durability after a set time.
Well that just sucks big time, It is after all supposed to be the ultimate all powerful magical sword. What were Nintendo thinking of, for me they have ruined one of their best game franchises. I like the open world feel of being able to go anywhere and climb anything, though rain is used to limit this at times but at least that is better than invisible walls, another pet hate of mine.

Where to start lol
Main ones that spring to mind are:
1) Coop games where Player 2 is never part of the discussions/cutscenes
2) Sections where you chase/race an opponent who mysteriously moved/drives faster than possible when you get near to beating/catching them ahead of the scripted point.
3) Similar to number 2; When you have an opponent who once caught/captured is significantly weaker when YOU use them to how they acted as a foe.
4) Shooters where you hoard weapons and ammo but when you move to a new level or area you are left with a pistol and 21 rounds...
5) Tutorials/cutscenes that you can't skip past.
6) Games with dialogue choices where what your character actually says differs significantly to the text you chose (Hello Mass Effect Andromeda).
7) Forced grinding...
8) Games that extend their overall playtime by making you work from Point A to B then back to A for no reason other than to get back to the 'door' you entered by (Fable 3 was a turd for this).
9) Bosses dropping predetermined weapons of a significantly lower level than you already have.
10) QTEs in general. I'm in my 40s now and frankly suck at these. I felt I had to shelve Shadows of War due a boss battle which was ENTIRELY QTE and I simply couldn't react fast enough. Thank goodness by 6yo is a clever little lady gamer lol

- arcade games that don't let you continue anymore after a certain level

- the competitive aspects of online games in general, where you just don't stand a chance unless you spend endless nights playing, or unless you cheat

- "boosts" that cost real money -> notice how these are effectively cheats, but if you have to pay for them they don't call it cheating

- having to collect 1000 pieces of junk to have a chance to find 1 that gives you maybe a 1% improvement

- (not strictly related to the playing part) characters animations that show the shoulders go up/down while breathing

QTEs definitely - just lazy programming really.

But I really hate platformers that have instant deaths... for example if you don't make a pixel perfect jump and you fall to your death and have to start the level again. Even the best games have been guilty of it... Mario, Sonic, Mega Man etc.

Not sure on the last one, I have just sat in my seat at work breathing and it definitely causes my shoulders and chest to rise slightly when I take a deep breath. Not sure why you dislike this as it's a thing in real life but of course each to their own.

Its exaggerated for effect in many game characters. Its just an animation trick to give life to characters, a caricature of real life.

I hate the escort missions too. Just Cause 2 had some terrible ones where the guy you're supposed to keep alive keeps running out in front of a gattling gun. Although in places the free-roaming nature of the game would let you mess with the neatly scripted events
One I remember had a choke point around a hangar that you enter from one end and leave by the other, both triggering another spawning of bad guys. But you could grapple and parachute your way around the hangar into the unpopulated areas, topple the bigger cannons and detach the gattling guns from their mounts, then go back and play through properly but with the bad guys now lacking the advantage.

Not sure how to explain it in words... It's just that to me it seems that character animations in 3D games (at least in the presentation screens) are always exaggerately restless. The breathing as if they were inflating/deflating balloons is just part of the exaggeration. My explanation for this, is that perhaps the graphical designers are afraid of making characters renditions "too still" so they overcompensate by making them moving unnaturally too much. Another example is auto-bouncing boobs.

I agree on the QTE's.

Pretty much the only negative about Resi 4 and Remember Me had a couple of annoying ones to finish off bosses which before then were straight up fights.

For me it is probably the constantly respawning enemies that infested many 8-but and 16-bit games.
