Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus

Since there's no thread, I'm opening a new one.

Gotta say the game has some great cut-scenes...

PC version requirements are quite high though, you'll need no less than a fast i5 paired with a 4 GB V-RAM graphics card in order to run it.

I really wonder how they'll make this run on the Switch.

I have a pre order for the Xbox One X so will get this on that. I would love to play this on Switch, but I suspect it will run at 30 FPS similar to DOOM.

I'm looking forward to making America Nazi-free again. :)

The specs seem pretty high, but they're not dissimilar to those for Doom and that proved to run rather well on PCs that were considerably below them. They're most likely the way they are to give solid 60fps@1080p performance out of the box, rather than you spending fifteen minutes adjusting everything.

Similarly, I wouldn't be too worried about the Switch port when Doom has clearly been optimized to a level well above what comparable PC hardware can manage. If you're wanting to play it on the hop it'll almost certainly perform far better than on any Windows tablet. That said, it's just as sure to be the poor relation when running in docked mode; it really just comes down to how you'd want to play the game.

I ran Doom on my rig...

i5 (circa 2011) coupled with a GTX 570 (same period) with 16gb of ram.

Played fine, bit slow loading some levels but other than that nothing major at all.

Really looking forward to this though, hopefully nab it in the Steam Xmas sale!

Early reports were that it was a bit buggy, but there have been a couple of patches now and it seems to be garnering much more positive reviews on Steam. I reckon I'll also pick it up next time there's a sale on.

It's 50% off now so I've snapped it up. I'll give it a decent go over the weekend.
