Personally I'm long ago fed up with Smash Bros cluttering up my Switch news feed.

Wish they'd stop faffing about with this rubbish and make some proper games.

Well, I've always really enjoyed the Smash series, but it (ironically) lost a lot of appeal when it went uber-mainstream.

The Minecraft character is a load of b0llox imo but it will be popular. We aren't the primary target audience for these games and the guest characters anymore. It's all about Youtube, Streams and social-media hype these days.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

Been playing Mario 35 and it's alright. Won about 6 times, and a few 2nd and 3rds. And that's the problem so far, a lot are eliminated quickly leaving a few players going at it for ages waiting for one to make a mistake. Don't think il be playing for long.

After getting Duke 3D, will need to invest in a different controller. Joy Cons are too small for my hands and the right analog stick is near inaccessible for camera view. Also other games are really cramping my hands, so it's time for a more conventional controller. Although sixty notes for the Ninty version is making me think again...

If you dont give a toss about wireless, giro and rumble I recommend the Hori controller, can be gotten for about twenty quid. (I got four refurbs for about £15 each)
Durable as feck (use them at events)
Decent long cable as well
Its just the D-pad. its a bit naff

RE: Smash, I thought the series had transitioned from being just Ninty to a celebration of gaming in general? My only real gripe with Steve is he looks out of place visually imo, but then there’s Game & Watch guy so whatever I guess

I struggle with the small controls aswell, so I use an 8bitdo and phone clip.

So the good news, the original NES Fire Emblem is getting an official English release on the eShop.

Bad news, it's another limited time only deal just like the Mario Collection, even goes away on the same day too.

One can only hope it's limited time so that once time is up, it gets dumped into the NES app for free like it should be already.

Considering I've just bought Bravely Second for the 3DS, I thought that titling was odd. Then I find an apology for the game I just bought! https://www.shacknews.com/article/11755 ... ely-second

I haven't played the first game and Nintendo Life reviews Second well, and I trust their judgement.
