Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Holy crap that is incredible - I've been playing through DOOM to start with, currently got a bit stuck on the 4th episode.
Isn't this £3.99 or something?

Yes, £3.99 - when are these updates going live? Anyone know?

Thats because the 4th episode seems like a big middle finger to everyone.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Episode 4 came out much later than the other three, in a patch after Doom 2 had already been released, or as the Ultimate Doom retail box. Three of the levels in particular - 1, 2 & 6 - are notoriously difficult and full of traps that even the most cautious and experienced players are going to die in until they've played it enough to know what's coming.
Plutonia Experiment in Final Doom is much harder though. There are 32 levels of everything from brutal chaingunner ambushes to multiple archviles.
Knock both off and you can consider yourself a Doom master.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Yes! So I got through the first mission thanks to watching some guy to a 100% walkthrough and then haven't delved far in the next level. Basically I am going to try and cheese my way through each level and save up as much health as possible before heading to the next one. Also I think it's vital to get the chainsaw and use that on pinkies.

Chainsaw works on cacodemons
Revenets can be cheesed up close, just get out of punch range when they try to punch, then get close again
Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Agree, I find it helpful to back in to a corner so that the pinkies can't come at you from the side.

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
It's cheesing the cyberdemons up close that's the hard bit.
Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
To do so is stupid and a waste of time

Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Normally yes, but you pretty much have to do that with the ones at the end of missions 2 and 6. At least as much as telefragging and point blank BFG shots with the invulnerability pickup can be considered cheesing.
Re: Nintendo Switch Discussion
Bravely Default 2 coming next year exclusively to Switch, I'll keep a look out for that.
Also there's a free indy game promotion going on.
