Interesting, I had heard the sequel was generally regarded as being inferior and a disappointment. I'll post my view on the game, sometime, whenever I get around to it, next year probably.

The second game is much easier and i seem to recall it was moaned about because of this. Its still a challenge at times, but instead of traipsing for half hour back to your palace (though you still can) you can just warp there saving time..same for all landmarks you find..warp there and back.

The first game -so far- at least doesn't have any fast travel or warp points, this can be a right pain whereby you are travelling to said location, get random attacks along the way...get to where you need to go, die then have to start at your last save point probably half hour back. you can save and save and save whenever but you will get caught out.
I prefer the fight mechanics in the 2nd game as you have more control over the fighting.
It is a game you should play though if you are a jrpg or rpg fan.

Been playing around on the Resident Evil 5 and 6 demos currently out on the Eshop. 5 plays very well, looks damn nice as well. I'll certainly enjoy replaying it yet again on the go. 6 looks bloody amazing on the small screen, but with that brings some performance issues at major firefights. Nothing that hurts my enjoyment of the game (I love 6's combat) but anyone that hates frame drops will hate this no doubt). Still cool to have so much of the series on the go, I just need to grab DMC2 to be up to date with Capcom's releases on the system.

I picked up a game called Vektor Wars on sale on the eShop for 0.98.... really recommend it. I wave-based arena FPD with some incredible TRON-style graphics. Honestly, a steal at the price.

Looks decent, hard not to get 98p of gameplay out of something so I'll have that.

Picked up Assassin's Creed 3 as it's half price. Played it before, but it's more than worth the price imo, even if it isn't the strongest in the series.

Noticed there's quite a few retro games on offer this week. Some NEO GEO, some ACA, even Nighttrap's about £3 which seems a fine price for curious me. XD

I'd say it's still about £3 too much.

Seriously - unlike the similar moral panics around Doom, Mortal Kombat and Carmageddon - the game itself was always a snorefest. The manufactured controversy that went a bit haywire is really the only notable thing about it. Still, if you've never played it, I guess it's only pocket change.

Alternatively, you could get something that's actually good fun to play, like Gunman Clive or Toki Tori, for the same money.

I was hoping Moon Cresta would go down lower than £3... Still... can't get a pint for that round here.

Yeah, I mean thats really the only reasons, I never played it and £3-ish is a better price to find out than whatever the physical Limited Run version and the Mega CD version go for these days.

Thankfully not the only cheap games I picked up.

Saturday Morning RPG (£2-ish, heard it was good.)
Urban Trial Playground (£3-ish for game and all its DLC bundle. The 3DS version was good enough.)

Loads, certainly enough.

I can't think of too many great non-Nintendo related exclusives, if that matters to you? Marvel Alliance 3 springs to mind. Astral Chain is published by Nintendo but was made by Platinum. Similarly Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a Ubisoft creation despite using the Mario IP. I suppose it depends whether you consider the likes of Xenoblade Chronicles etc 1st or 2nd party. Octopath Traveller was exclusive for a while. Golf Story is a great little Indy exclusive, as is Unltitled Goose Game. Fast Racing RMX aswell. Bayonetta 3 and No More Heroes 3 are on the way.

Though I think if you're happy to play ports and multi-plats then the Switch has tons to offer outside of Nintendo IPs. You've got all your Indy and 2D platformers, Hollow Knight, Shovel Knight, Sonic Mania, Steamworld Dig 1 & 2, Inside, Limbo, Owlboy, Yoku's Island Express, Shantae, Dead Cells, Ori , Rayman Legends etc. Adventure-wise there's loads of Resi Evil and Final Fantasy games, Monster Hunter Generations, Witcher 3, Skyrim, Dragon Quest 11 and Builders 2, Bayonetta 1 & 2. There's also Stardew Valley, Star Link, Mortal Kombat 11, Bullet Storm, Doom, La Noire, Okami, Phoenix Wright Trilogy, Ys VIII, Yooka Laylee, Diablo 3, all just the ones off the top of my head, there's loads more.

I genuinely can't keep up with all the great games on Switch, my backlog grows by the month.
