Its something I guess. If they're going to say committed to 8, an expansion like say Mario Kart 8 Ultimate like Smash with all the past characters, tracks and maybe features like the Double Dash co-op would be welcomed.

Hori announce Gamecube inspired controllers. I'll be getting a Zelda one, maybe two. :)

Shame they've kept the horrible face button configuration, I never really got on with those, much prefer the standard round buttons of equal size on most other pads. Great sticks though. Cant see me buying one to replace my pro controller unless they're very cheap for a second option.

Obviously though the nature of the product dictates it's form. Personally I've never had any issue with the button laylout, however the only issue would be going from a standard Switch controller to this for the same game, where you've learned the game using a specific layout. But as the designated Smash Bros controller it's primarily designed to be it would be fine.

It would be useful for a second controller for multiplayer too. Say you bought one, with that, a Pro Contoller and your two Joycons that's you sorted for 4-way multiplayer, eg Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, Mario Party, Smash Bros etc.

I think the converted Japanese price is £22 so I wouldn't expect it to cost any more than £25.

Another Labo set coming this September. This one actually look a bit more fun than the other 2.

your not missing much with the original SF. Its controls are awful so it feels almost unplayable at times.

The other issue you'll encounter is the controls. That is, there wasn't much thought put into the port as far as making easier inputs for the Switch since it lacks a decent D Pad on those joycons... I actually got a D Pad joycon from Hori just the other day and tested it with Mega Man X and the SF collection and its made SF especially so much more playable. Means I've got almost all the mainline games playable in one package on my Switch, which is very nice indeed!

Speaking of the D Pad Joycon, its arriving outside of Japan this September in Mario and BOTW colours.

If you're importing the current Japan only one, there's currently an issue where its a big drain on the Switch's battery but they are working on a patch.

Was going to buy Doom this weekend. Went to Asda, they had all of 3 Switch games, which looked like old stock: A FIFA, Crash Bandicoot and something else I forget. It was all PS4/XBone on the shelves. 1 3DS game made the Nintendo showing all the more disappointing.

Might go into town tomorrow and see if its any better.

Drain is if you leave it connected when it sleep mode for some bizarre reason. So I just disconnect it for now when not using it. Not 100% ideal, but its still much better than playing SF with the default joycon!

I picked up Battle Chasers yesterday to play on my holiday. Really enjoying it so far. It's a little rough around the edges and there's some lengthy loading times but I'm enjoying the structures, the characters are decent and it looks like The Banner Saga. Combat engine seems good, too as I'm not really a fan of turn-based games.

In-case all the info we learned at E3 wasnt enough, there's a Smash Bros dedicated Direct coming this Wednesday at 3pm.

Played the Yoku's Island Express the other day, liked what I saw, I know it's not the longest game but my only concern would be that it could get repetitive. :|

Looking forward to that, I expect at least one new character reveal. When you think about it there's actually quite a lot of first and third party candidates worthy of inclusion that haven't featured already, so it really could be anyone.
