I really don't mind ports, they're not as exciting as new games but from a practical point of view they are very welcome.

When it comes to the third party games they're essentially just delayed multiplats, and surely we do want the Switch to get these multiplats, better late than never and better to have the option to play them on the go. And it's not as though every Switch owner has already played them. I dare say most Switch owner haven't even played the 1st party ports.

I own Okami on the Wii but haven't got around to playing it, I'll likely get the HD version because a game like that deserves HD presentation.

I'll have to see how much new content is in Captain Toad and Luigi's Mansion. I was slightly stunned that Nintendo are still releasing a 3DS game in 2019 with Bowser's inside Story, I never finished it on the the DS and have considered picking it up again, now I'll just wait for the 3DS version.

Hori are to release a Joycon with a D Pad. Does not work wireless though, only in handheld mode, but it is budget priced at least.

I think they've gone the correct route there in not making it wireless. It'll let them skip the battery, Bluetooth and hidden shoulder buttons to keep the price down. Also, even if it was detachable you'd still be saddled with a D-pad rather than the buttons so it would be less than ideal for ad hoc games of Mario Kart and Splatoon.

Now all we need is a right Joy-Con with the analog stick at the top.

I'm sold on that dpad joycon if the quality is there. I'll be getting Street Fighter soon and want a better dpad for it. Since I'll be playing it in handheld mode it seems like its exactly what I wanted.

Meanwhile, been playing a lot of Kirby - finished the main story and am working on the extra content. The main story is fairly short, but very fun. And the extra modes seem really great so far.

Mario Kart online is brutal! I'm a Mario Kart player since the original release, but I can't keep up with this. Goddamit! You'll be at/near the front when all of a sudden you get taken out by a shell etc and before you know it you're right at the back!

Are there any websites which do downloadable artwork? I've found a place that sells empty/plain cases. But i need the artwork to go in them for games I've downloaded - need to keep the shelves looking good!

I agree, online Mario Kart is hard, I will go, 4th, 4th, 1st, 11th, 5th, 2nd, 4th, 8th etc, sometimes you can win quite easily, other times you get taken out by everyone!
I got my switch last weekend, i have done 50cc and 100cc all 3 stars Gold and I am up to 1604 points online on Race mode

Bullshit simulator DX is a right git on 200cc

Getting to first place is easy, then on the last corner you will get screwed and end up 8th

Ordered a 64GB Micro SD card to download Resi Evil Revelations 2 in the sale. Not planning on downloading lots of big games but it should be useful for Okami HD as I believe that's download only for the Switch.

I'm probably going to sell my Switch. For me it's been a bit of a disappointment. Will hold on for E3, just to see if anything good is coming but for me it's too uncomfortable as a handheld, too ugly on my 4K telly when docked, the games are too pricey and I've got better options elsewhere.
