Check out this chancer:

He's selling GB Boy Colours at £269.99 a time and he's sold 27 of them at that price  .

Bet he hasn't.

old Ebay trick. you have 5 items to sell but you list say 20. you then use a dummy account to buy them but then cancel the transaction. still shows as sold. they do it to fool people into thinking other people are actually paying those prices and that's the going rate.

Always be wary about something extremely expensive on a multilisting. where it says 10 sold 5 left as this is usually the case.

I like it the look of it and have pre-ordered one with an extra controller. Never owned a NES, but 30 games out of the box (some of which are absolute classics) easy to connect to modern TV's and controllers can be used with the (in demand) Wii. With my son now bitten by the gaming bug it's a no brainer for me. I'm sure I read on one site that it will have a game save/pause function. Or did I just dream it?

It's not that. Check the selling history, it's what I thought has happened. All the previous sales were at much lower prices, he's just upped to that price now since. Same auction listing, hence he has sold 27. Just not at that price.

Looks like there maybe some neat screen display options.

So will I be able to plug this new controller into my Wiimote and use it for my emulators?

I understand you can plug it into the wiimote and use it for Virtual Console NES games only (so far it looks like it won't be used for other machines in the VC line up - which makes sense due to button limitations).

Not sure if it will extend yet to unofficial emulators on a modded Wii - I would suspect so, but maybe they'll have to update the emulators first. It would be nice though if it worked on FCE Ultra GX on the Wii for NES games.

It'd be fine for the C64 games on there, of which I have a few.

It should in theory be quite usable for a number of systems that don't require a lot of buttons (perhaps the master system as well?), but on the probably-unreliable wikipedia page for the Virtual Console, it is stating only support for the NES VC games, the other systems (C64 included) its showing that it won't work.

Although on the NES-Mini Wiki page, it goes further saying "The NES controller included can plug in the Wii remote, but it can only be used with NES Virtual Console games being played on the Wii U" - so that means Wii owners will be stuffed as its only for Wii U??

Hopefully this is not accurate, and that the NES pad will be compatible with more of the VC systems, as well as the unofficial emulators for the standard Nintendo Wii.

I'd be willing to bet that the controllers will work on anything that just needs a d-pad and 2 buttons. Isn't this one of those things that plugs in to a Wii mote and basically just maps the dpad and 1 and 2 buttons?
I'd say it'll work with NES, Game Boy, Master System games etc.

Hope so, although for the Virtual Console it can get a bit picky with controllers, but yea, hopefully for homebrew stuff it should be fine and work nicely with 2 buttoned games...certainly better than using a wiimote on its own horizontally.

Should make the NES Levels in Mario Maker even more like the SMB days.

They're really pushing the boat out with that book, looking at a whole 17 games, and only $27.
