Getting back on topic I remember one interview where Singleton cheekily said that maybe Eye of the Moon could be set in modern times and you would find that the contested forests and plains of Midnight had been converted into shopping malls and parking lots

Actually, if you read the ZZAP interview, what he said was the ending had the dying Luxor looking into the Eye of the Moon to see what the future held for the land... and then it would appear to him as a multi-storey car park!
