Would you believe, it was called Oh Mummy.

first computer I got near was the ZX-81, as for game, I cannot recall, was
too stunned at being in the presence of a Real computer to notice.

VIC-20 and Blitz of the freebie pack that commodore bundled with it

first brought games a galaxians game on cartridge for the VIC20 and later
a cassette game called Anihalitor(sp?)

C64 - 3D Maze, written in BASIC and played Greensleeves over and over and
over and AAARRGGHHHHhhhh!

Well, considering I was only born in '84, I seem to recall my first game being Football Manager on the C64, tinkering with my dad's team while he made tea. I must've only been 1, or 2 years old!

I got into computer games a bit later than some of you '87 I believe.

First game on CPC was Feud round a mates house.

First game on speccy was R-Type again at a mates,

The first thing I loaded on my C64 in 1990 was Double Dragon, Doh good job Delta was next!!!

Hmm... through the mists of time I remember Trans-Am on the Speccy being one of my first, to be honest its hard to pick one that was truly the first - it could have been Ant Attack 3D, or Atic Atac, or a few others.

It was the 'bomer run' game that was on the tape supplied with the VIC 20 starter pack.

(A plane flies across the screen getting progresively lower, you had to press the space bar to drop boms and clear a path through the buildings so you can land)

I can say, with all certainty, that it was the awesome Killer Gorilla on the BBC-B computer. It was one of Micro Power's numerous game and, if you couldn't guess, a blatant Donkey Kong clone.

I'd had an Atari VCS (Combat was the 1st game) and some archaic Pong-style (er.. Pong?) console thingy before that and probably played one or two arcade machines at Butlins just to annoy my parents.

But, if we're going for a strict answer to this topic's opening question - Killer Gorilla.

The first games I ever played on my Speccy, which was a 48k+ (plastic keys) model were part of a rubbish free pack that came from Dixons....including such delights as 'Wally Kong' (a Donkey Kong rip off by 'Walsoft'), Haunted Hedges and Supergran (yes, it was based on the TV show)! Luckily I had some friends with better games who lived nearby and was soon playing games like Knight Lore, Renegade and Skool Daze instead :)

The first game that I EVER played though was Space Invaders on my dad's Atari 2600 when I was 4 years old and since then games have been my favourite form of entertainment.

I believe the first game I ever played was on my Acorn Electron, that game being Bird Strike by Firebird. It was either that or one of Kissin' Kousins or Thunderstruck, but my mind is very cloudy on the subject as I was very young...

Ah, the classic Blitz. Fantastic game, my mum spent hours playing it and i had to fix the VIC's keyboard about once every six months because the space bar'd conk out! =-)
