I love the original and I am really looking forward to this, it would be perfect on the 3DS so I am hoping it is released on that.

I'm aware of it. That's about it.
Apparently there's a football thing on at the moment as well.

Weather's nice.

I actually wish they remastered the first Wonderboy.. it was a tad simplistic in gameplay, sure, but absolutely prime for a new version I reckon.. I don't like all that RPG nonsense they threw in in subsequent editions, ruined a good game!

I don't like the cartoony art style in the trailer. I get that the kids market in gaming is huge, but just like I prefer 80's fantasy/action/sci-fi cartoons to the current ones, same with games.

Looks different enough to make it worth doing. Will I buy it? Probably not.

I think what he ment to say is that the new style looks too high-quality and makes the game look like an actual cartoon while the original was still pixelated and simple-looking enough to feel like a "game".

It's the kind of evolution one would expect though. I'm probably not the only one who wanted games to "look like cartoons" back when I was a kid. It's also why Dragon's Lair, in spite of the primitive and punishing gameplay, was such an attention-grabber when it came out.

And I'm also not the only one who got excited over Cuphead and it's amazing, cartoon quality visuals.

There's another Wonder Boy game in the making, The Cursed Kingdom:

The visuals here look more "vibrant" in comparison.

I actually much prefer the look of that one.

The remake looks great, but does not really look like a wonderboy game. the one you linked to does.

Thats not to say thsat the remake in its own way does not look really nice though, because it does.
