Actually agree with prinny on the Scorpio. It seems too soon for a hardware upgrade (4years) which may effectively kill off the smart looking Xbox One S.

prinny you're getting as bad as outdated_gamer with all the just-get-a-PC-instead nonsense.
I believe Scorpio is more for the 4K/VR/Spec fanatics. Anything that takes advantage of Scorpio will still play on the other XBONE models.

That said, since 4K is still years away for me and VR too till its cheap, I'll be going for the slim. The 2TB of space and the fact its not another black console are what won me other.
Looks like this will be one of the shortest console gens ever...

Scorpio specs sound nice, but I question if people will go out and buy another, more powerful Xbox One.
It's more we're adding a .5 to whatever number generation we're in. You don't need these upgrades if you already own the system to play the games, but if the extra bells and whistles interest you, knock yourself out.

The New 3DS has inspired console makers...

You're obsessed with everything looking like a PS2 game. Your parrot looks like a PS2 game. Can you guess which one?

South Park looks on point as usual. I found it really funny. Pity nothing else from Ubisoft really looked that interesting at all. I wasn't the biggest fan of some of the stuff shown by Microsoft but Dead Rising 4 has me sold. And props to MS, they kept the conference rolling and showed off a lot in a quick space of time. Ubisoft dragged on and on and bored the hell out of me. Should have stopped after Grow Up, it was down hill from there (insert terrible Steep joke here).

Not sure I really want a Scorpio though, glad that MS is targeting the high end market, but with all their announcements for Windows 10 it just seems smarter for me to get a new PC instead.

Sony next, not expecting a Shenmue III show like last year but I hope they have a good couple of surprises up their sleeves.

And PS4, Tekken 7 looks ok
Really looking forward to Tekken 7 and I've been keeping up to date with it anyway on the fighting game sites I visit. Tag 2 was seriously good, one of the best games in the series and a massive improvement over Tekken 6 (which I was disappointed with) so I've had my faith restored. Plus: Akuma!

I suspect that even if you've not got a 4K TV and aren't interested in VT, Scorpio will be the difference between a solid 60fps at 1080p and the current XB1 practice of upscaling from below that just to get it above 30. Still, with new games guaranteed to work on the original, there's not too much pressure to make the leap straight away.

I quite like the look of the Xbox Slim. I'll wait for it to be bundled with a couple of games I want and then get one.
