Who Did Disney Games better, Capcom or Sega

Post by RodimusPrime » Tue May 17, 2016 4:46 pm

Sega or Capcom

Sega had the Illusion series, Capcom had the Magical quest series.

Sega had the Donald duck games including Quacshot etc, Capcom had Ducktales and Chip and dale.

Capcom may just edge it for me, but Castle of illusion is one of my favorite games ever so I find it really hard to choose.

No idea, I'd need a list of Disney games, I don't think I've played that many as by the time that sort of thing was 'big', I was a bit old to hoover them up. Still playe stuff like Castle/World of Illusion, some of the more well known ones, but I bet I'm missing loads. I did enjoy the Dalmations game on Dreamcast for some reason, put it on to try out one day and spent hours on it.

I'll edge it to Sega. Got some very fond memories of their Disney games from my youth.

Capcom for me, solely for Duck Tales 1&2, Two of my favourite NES games. Darkwing Duck was great as well, but that's mainly down to it being a Mega Man reskin. Then you have their other series like Chip n Dale etc. which I also really enjoyed.

Sega still released a good many Disney games I enjoy though. Castle of Illusion is one I enjoy returning to, and played the heck out of Land of Illusion on the Game Gear (yet never got every star in the game, I really need to go back to that...)

Too hard to call. I loved Aladdin and World of Illusion on the Megadrive, so I was going to vote Sega, but then you mentioned Rescue Rangers. I love that game. Also Goof troop and Mickey's Magical Quest are both excellent on the SNES.

I found the same, considering they were licensed games, the amount of quality Sega and Capcom produced was amazing.

Out of the two, Sega. But my favourite Disney game's are The Lion King and Aladdin, so technically Virgin?

Sega, easily... I find most Capcom games hard to enjoy (outside of the Ghosts 'N Goblins series and the first Mega Man game).

But yeah, Traveller's Tales should be an option, Mickey Mania's a ridiculously good game!

I'd go with Sega. Those Capcom games just haven't aged nearly as well.

Square are probably worth a mention too for the Kingdom Hearts series.

World of Illusion and Quackshot alone make Sega top it for me.

Ducktales was great but i preferred the above 2.

Tbh I don't care who made better ones, all I know is that Disney games were great in the 16-bit and also the 8-bit eras. Then they started making crap and they never recovered.
