What game are you STILL playing
What game are you still playing despite having put hours and days of your life into it? I'm talking an embarrassing amount of time you could have spent accomplishing something useful.

I've played the Championship/Football manager games since 93, that's over 20 years! a ridiculous amount of time no doubt

Re: What game are you STILL playing
Looking at the Game Hub for Battlefield 4 on my Xbox One shows I've got just over 29 days of actual game time logged on it. Most of that total is online multiplayer. I'm rank 125 (Major General VI, I think) without Premium membership. My hours in BF4 multi are easily over 500+.
It's ridiculous when you think about it.

If it's slower than me, dumber than me and it tastes good ... tough titty.

Winning Eleven 6 FE on the Gamecube. I must have played over 200 seasons!
Better football games have come out since and yet I still play it to this day.

Still play Drop 7 on my phone when I don't have a book or magazine to read on public transport, been at that for about 8 years or so as it only takes up a tiny amount of space.

If I combined the time I've spent playing football manager, Swos, Civilization and Medieval Total War 2 It might come to 20 ACTUAL years...HalcyonDaze00 wrote:I've played the Championship/Football manager games since 93, that's over 20 years! a ridiculous amount of time no doubt

AKA: What MMO's are you playing
And yes I like my MMO's in a somewhat anti-social way. I like that people are around but I hate forced (required) interaction.
SWTOR seems to have gone the right way in the recent updates regarfing this, though not played since Jan. Well OK I loggedin once!
FF14 has been my current thing since Jan, some forced interaction though!
Cry for the loss of SWG
Especially pre CU SWG! Yes you intereacted to get a buff (or not I had two subs!) but after that you were good to solo.
Single player multiplayer is the way forward!

World of Warcraft. I have played it on and off from day one.
My brothers still play it too, so its still good fun.
Not sure I agree with the way the game has evolved. There are always the vanilla servers if I get properly bored.

Re: What game are you STILL playing
I'm a huge Operation Flashpoint (the PC original, not the Xbox port or the sequels) fan and I've been playing it steadily since it's release (2001). That gives years and years of playability thanks to it's "hardcore realism" gameplay mechanics and the tons of community made content for it. Here is a vid about it:

Otherwise, I keep returning to many games. The first two Dooms for example, I just can't get bored of them. More recently, I'm playing Quake II multiplayer (it's still kicking and as savage as ever
) and Grand Prix Legends, another timeless "hardcore" racing simulator for the PC which is also kept alive by the community. Then the other time I'm re-playing some NES or Speccy classics or discovering new retro titles I have not tried yet. I play very few new releases and even from those it's usually the less popular things.

Re: What game are you STILL playing
The original Civilization under DOSBOX. Ahhh, they got it right first time. Sure - I can see the appeal of Civilization II - and I'm sure the sequels are nice(I have Civilization 4 as well) - but I just love the original. Spent so many hours on it - the research stuff, the Wonders of the World, etc.
The original Railway Tycoon. Beep boop. Chugga chugga. Got to love them trains. It's like having your own electronic trainset.
Oolite(Elite remake). I've managed to get up to "Deadly" - something that I never managed to do on the original(best I could get was "Dangerous"). It's a long climb to get "Elite".
