The best was the Wizard but it was always a fight, shoving, pushing and bit a of verbal all included, to get to be the Wizard. Warrior was the next most fought over!

Valkyrie because I always prefer playing as the female characters.. Did go through all 100 levels with the Wizard on the 360 version as he's got the best shot power rubbish health though

Warrior for me, I prefer a straight fight to all the sneaking around with magic.

Elf for me - played a 8 hour game with 1 credit once (with a mate for breaks). (Elf has eaten all the food lately....). Needs the Shot Power really and is the most effective with all power-ups.

As far as I can remember Warrior can't shoot through diagonal gaps to get to the generators which is why he doesn't make the list, Valkyrie doesn't have the magic. Wizard is my second favourite.

I'd always go for the elf if there were multiple players as you could be a sneaky bastard and nick all the treasure and power-ups.

By yourself though, it's got to be the wizard for the extra firepower.
