We need more of these facilities to preserve and enjoy classic/modern arcade machines. :D
Places like this pop up, then go away, mainly because the management either trys to run it for profit or they have no clue what they are doing, or both.
Worse case is if they stick in a load of mame cabs that are just generic machines with the guts replaced and charge a quid a ago.

One did pop up in Manchester and had modern remake arcade cabs (LCD and 6 buttons on a Pacman?) not heard anything good about it

The great thing about this place is that it feel's like an 80s arcade. Apart from the sticky carpets and fag-burned cabs naturally. The lighting's right , the set up's right. I guess the main difference is that rather than a bored looking cashier dishing out the 10ps , you've got owners who are genuinely interested in their customers. It's a great place, and it's a great shame ( and to me a major mistake) that RG haven't visited and reviewed this den of retro.

Great playing Robocop last time I was there, real shame they didn't have Bert. Had a great time playing Ridge Racer, nothing compares to playing the real thing. Is there a Daytona in the offing, that would be sweet.
When does the next floor open by the way?

Totally agree about retro gamer not covering it. Huge shame. I'm sure they showed some small expensive mini arcade place a while back

Biggest arcade in Europe and nothing in the mag

Anyway I'm not sure of the date for floor 2 but it must be soon. On Facebook they showed a ton of machines piled up waiting to be assembled and put into the second floor. Should be great

Went last night in a thing of being spontaneous instead of sitting at home watching videos

ITS WEIRD GOING TO A PLACE OF GAMING AND NOT WORKING AT IT!!
Was packed, but still had plenty of machines to play on

Went again yesterday and went to floor 2 for the first time. Great to see another floor there, had a lot of modern stuff but still lots of arcade machines. Had a go on a Playstation VR or whatever its called, i can tell i'm getting old as it was amazing putting on that headset and playing Resident Evil but damn it was like i had travel sickness ! Felt a bit sick afterwards ! Probably just not used to that sort of thing

Had a go on quite a few machines. Had a longer go on Phoenix as sometimes a lot of those early shooters i just do one level and then move on but i didnt realise there was a mothership later which was quite cool.

Amazing place though as always, had a few favourites of mine i couldnt find so need to ask Andy to put those out (I 'sniff' miss New Zealand story !). I'm so happy i live close by !!

Travelled down from Glasgow for the day earlier this month and it was well worth the trip. Lots of lovely old arcade machines in great condition.
Could have spent all afternoon playing Off Road Racer quite happily but there was just so much else to see and play!

The new floor is good as well, had a wander round it then chilled out with a latte and a copy of Artcade on a nice comfy sofa :)

Well done to Andy and all involved.

I'm curious as to how you travelled down there since I'm up north too. Was it by train? How did you get there?? It seems too far to me and too awkward to get to, but I'm looking for you to prove me wrong :)

Manchester's pretty well served for infrastructure, then it's a short tram ride to Bury & either a 1 mile walk or taxi out to Cork Street.

Alternatively there's parking outside if you're taking a car.

It's been a couple of months since I've been... Getting the itch to go again!
