mario maker level share thread

Post by slacey1070 » Fri Sep 11, 2015 4:08 pm

A thread for us to all share our levels, as we can't search for friends.

Hoping for some quality courses!

7FE7-0000-0017-A198 RETRO!

FE73-0000-0018-117F amiibo tester

1st ones an underground style level, 2nd is a course with all my current amiibos playable

Just tried all of the courses above this post, there good an not overly cluttered like a lot of the ones people are sharing

I have also followed all of you, if we all just follow each other after searching for one of the courses then we wont need to type these codes in each time we make new levels

also don't forget to 'star' each others levels after trying them, that way we can all upload more courses than the current limit of 10 :D

Here's my first attempt at creating a level. It uses NES Mario 1 level 1-1 as a base. There's not too much going on. One thing I've noticed so far with the creations I've played so far is how "jam-packed" the levels are with enemies. Or levels that require pixel perfect jumping skills to clear (I wasted 80-odd lives on 1 creation that had you jumping from a high up platfrom and aiming to land between two piranha plants that you couldn't see from your start point). To me, that's not a Mario game.

Looking forward to trying all your levels. I'm hoping that as we're, how could I put this, more "seasoned gamers" that we'll be able to create levels that are more in keeping with the spirit of what Mario platforming is all about.

I agree with the above, I hate how every ? Mark block has large enemies in them, I hate how everything is put in a level for the sake of putting it in the level.

I think mine is cluttered, it was the first go without even thinking about it, I think this game is going to eat a lot of my time

I agree on your bottom point. I'm trying to make sure all the enemies I have in my levels are visible on screen, so there are no surprises or cheap deaths etc. Its not fun game design and just plain not fair. I'll give all the levels in this thread a try tomorrow.

Have you got a code for this level?

I've had another go at creating another level tonight. While it's a little more adventurous than my first effort I think I may have fallen into the level creation traps that I moaned about earlier!! Have a go, any feedback welcome!

28C8-0000-0031-9767 - Coins Could Lead To Ruin

Not the best, but I feel that as things unlock my levels will get better.
