^ Good gesture, but should have done them fully in new engine. After watching the gameplay footage the art style is giving me Diablo 3 vibes, at least in the hell areas.

I like it. Looking forward to this game even more now - looks brilliant.

Looks brilliant if you're a twin stick jocker...

For us old PC people it looks decent at best. No graphics cards will get bought just to play this game (especially since it's a poorly ported console port).

Bought it this morning, quick blast before off to work. Love how imps are running all over the place, forcing you to move. RIP AND TEAR.

I've only played the first 5 minutes, but so far so good! I was worried it would be slow, but it definitely is not!

Has anyone else just ended up mashing the melee key constantly?

Was watching the SP campaign gameplay and I have to say this might be the first id game I will not be getting. It's way too focused on melee combat, the guns seem weak (except the double shotty but it's kinda impossible to screw that up), the enemies seem brain dead, the level design doesn't look nothing special and the "dub step" soundtrack really isn't to my liking. It's, indeed, modern Doom for a modern audience.

It's certainly more 'doom' than doom 3 anyway.

I'll hold off I think. Looks a bit samey from what I've seen.

Or he could mean it looks brilliant in terms of fun to play, suppose its typical for a spec obsessed PC gamer to assume its all about graphics. Bit pathetic really.

Is it time for another thread to devolve into the PC mentalists throwing poo?

Can't be bothered TBH, just don't see the need in not letting someone make a simple statement that they think the game looks brilliant without someone using it to push their " PC is TEH BEST EVA LOLOLOL " agenda.
