Doom I I big box

Post by slacey1070 » Sat Feb 21, 2015 12:57 pm

Your help please. I picked up the above recently in great nick. Cd looks new, box has a few marks as you'd expect.

It's published by GT however it has a flash on the box saying 'special bonus includes first episode from the original Doom"

I've hunted round and can find no similar boxes...is this in any way different??

Also includes all.the original. Inserts like product registration etc.

Might have to sell as de cluttering. ..but it's a great piece!

Can you upload a photo?

How about a game screenshot quiz? Amiga, DOS, Megadrive and Commodore 64.

Just get pics onto your computer and put them up one one of the many free image hosting sites - photobucket or imgur should work well enough - then simply post a direct link in the "Img" tags.

Well it looks like you have an American release there (looking the ESRB logo). A UK version finished on ebay recently with a similar sticker:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Doom-II-Windo ... 7675.l2557

Similar sort of sticker but not the same design and this ^^^ one states 'Limited Edition' (probably doesn't mean much though).

Actually you might find this interesting:
http://www.doomworld.com/vb/doom-genera ... ig-box-uk/

Seems that the sticker is a bit misleading as the only extra content is the shareware version of the first Doom which is on the Doom II CD-Rom.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

I had the original floppy disc big box version of the original Doom.
No bids at 99p start on eBay.
99p was clearly way too much for the 42 watchers.
Bit of a waste trying to get a fair price for almost anything these days methinks?
