I can only offer my point of view, I won't speak for others. For me, these were unwanted and unused extras. That others may have liked them doesn't change my opinion of them.

That I'd need to pay to use them really doesn't help.

Other people like One Direction. It doesn't make them worthwhile to have.
well actually yes it does, if there is something that brings joy and a lot of people enjoy it, and at the same time they are harming no one then yes they are totally worthwile. whether you like them or not is irrelevanat.

I don't like them, but I appreciate a lot of people do, therefore they are worth having.

Such a selfish self entitled attitude. I don't like them, therefore there is no point in them existing.

I'm sorry for having an opinion, then. My sincerest apologies. That my opinion is harming no one obviously makes me a selfish, horrid person, as must be the case for everyone else who shares a view that online and multiplayer modes are pointless extras.

There's nothing selfish about not agreeing with something. Whether you agree with me or not is irrelevant.

And I thought I was self righteous

"pointless extras" is a strange term to use for GoW's online multi. It's a key part of the package. You might not want it but it's hardly pointless. If anything these days, it's the single player campaigns that feel more like needless "extras" in the online multiplayer heavyweights like Battlefield 4 and the Modern Warfare stuff.
If it's slower than me, dumber than me and it tastes good ... tough titty.

i confess to getting the "steelbook" (the artwork was just stuck on - very cheap) on the 360 and then later on seeing a cheap copy with the 3d sleeve on PS3 and buying that as well. I used the feeble logic that it actually looked better and i was going to play the game again anyway. I'm currently going through the collection to thin it out a bit and both versions still made the cut.

Saw this today on the 360 with the hologram sleeve £2.49.Thought it would be rude to not get it at that price so i am going to give it another go.

Played it about 18 months ago. Fantastic game: oozes style, controls are fluid and the combat is exhilarating and challenging.

Cost me £2, as well.

I've been looking for it again for a couple of quid and found the same! Then a couple of weeks later (Now) to my slight embarrassment, I discover I picked it up in a charity shop for a quid awhile back and it's been sat in a plastic bag since. Oops.
I had been looking for ps3, and have the 360 version though! :)

Just persevere with the first big boss battle. If you give up on the game it'll be here. Once you learn to do that bit though you'll have a very satisfying experience.
