Other highlights in MKII were the random placement of secret characters on the forest stage.

The first time you saw Smoke or Jade popping their head round from one of the trees was one of those "WTF" moments.

Also, the cryptic messages at the bottom of the screen when you beat the game - started many many rumours and got many (arcade) players thinking.

Friendships were also a fun addition. Bring back Kid Thunder!!

This game should be fun - place your bets now!

Remenber the fergality special in mk2?

Absolutely pointless, but a laugh.

Did you actually read the Question before answering??

It wasn't big or clever.

And, you are also wrong!!!!

It's Killer Instinct on the Arcade, in all it's original glory.

Why has no one bothered to mention the rather good MK: Deception (MK6). It's a very good 3D fighter with TONS of chracters and Very graphic fatalties. Add in the chess Kombat and Puzzle Fighter rip off and you have a great game. Cheap now too.

As far as the old skool 2d MK games go, MKII was the best. MK3 was crap.
Bring back Thingy and Rockford!!! Zzap 64 liberation front!!! :):):)
