Granny's Garden and Pod on the BBC Micro
Does anyone remember Granny's Garden and Pod on the BBC Micro?
Even though I started school in 1991 the school I went to still had BBC Micros!
Podd is an excellent program. Although I now consider it pointless, I still find it very amusing when playing it in the Model B emulator. The word I use the most is 'pop' because there's nothing like a bit of pre-school violence
As for Granny's Garden. That is such an excellent game, and I currently own the extremely rare (and yes it really is rare!) Spectrum +3 disk version. Even today it is a lot of fun, although getting past the dragons is quite tricky!

We used to play Grannys Garden at our infant school! Awesome. I remember getting pretty scared at points!
However, the favourite was 'Dinosaur Discovery', which was brilliant! I remember you had to find dinosaur eggs in a underground maze, and I remember one of the final parts was where you had to navigate a sea to get to an island.
We always died at this point. I only saw it completed once.
I'm gonna have to go hunting for the image to have another go

And there's another one I remember, although I cannot find a disk image of it anywhere.
I used to play a game called Animal Rescue quite a lot at school. If I remember correctly it came on 2 disks and was split into 3 parts, with each following on from one another. The baddie was a troll who was terrorising the animal kingdom, and the aim of the game was to find his hideout and defeat him. You had to help a number of animals by solving puzzles in order to continue. My favourite puzzle has to be where you had to navigate a car around a small track - had lots of fun crashing into the walls!
It was a superb game. At the time I considered it to be the best game in the world!
