This coming November Microsoft will give away a bunch of free games to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Xbox 360. ( making me realise how bloody old I am  )

Dying light (xo) and the order (ps4) will be two of the biggest selling games of the year.

I'll end up buying battlefield hardline even though i said I wouldn't after being disappointed by bf4.

And COD advanced warfare 2 will be announced around June.

2015 will be better than 2014! I'm pretty sure about that one. :P

I predict that it will pretty much completely pass me by...much like the previous 20 years or so.

Oculus Rift releases another 'developer' model, won't commit to consumer model until at least 2016.

PS4 Project Morpheus doesn't get released in 2015.

Sony Playstation Network gets hacked at least 3 times, says customer data is 'safe' in who's hands they didn't comment on.

It is Outdated Gamer who keeps derailing threads with his PC Master Race rubbish.
I only responded to Halcyon's statement that "PC is censored".
Yes, and can you stop taking the bait? He's trolling you like a pro.
perhaps but he really does keep derailing threads with his PC master race rubbish.

Non Personal

E3 this year will be the most competitive it's been in years as the Wii has gained alot of momentum, as has the xbone.
MS will announce new Gears of War installment at E3 for Winter 15 release.
One of the 3 major companies will announce a either a new sku for their console, or announce an official price cut.

Personal
The PC will continue to dominate my time for modern gaming.
I will start selling some of my collection that I just don't play

this will certainly happen and it will coincide with an HD collection of the existing games.

Sounds good to me. GTA5 and Diablo 3 were belting ports. There's plenty of stuff I'd buy again from last gen if the package is right. :D

And a lot of stuff I wouldn't touch with a barge pole if I'm honest. It's all good though.
If it's slower than me, dumber than me and it tastes good ... tough titty.

me too. Although im not sure if it is depressing us for the same reasons. For me it's the grim and jaded outlook and in some cases clear contempt that some of these guys have for modern gaming.
Shouldnt you be used to this by now?

Perhaps it's too much FOCUSED contempt. I could always hate at a bunch of other possible subjects as well, if that helps.

Dont forget the bit about announcements of lofty ideas that he says *will* be in said game yet either arent, or are extremely underwhelming once it comes out.

And I keep wondering about all this talk of Nintendo putting out another console much too soon... is this something that's confirmed at this point? Or just a pile of rumors?
Well he does seem to have a new "God" game in the works, titled Godus which is in early beta state on Steam:

Apparently the early feedback is not too positive. Nintendo most certainly are already working on their next system the question is just when they'll announce it and what features will it have. I'd say the Wii U still has atleast two years of life left but then a new system will probably replace it. We're probably heading towards smaller life cycles for consoles. Truth be told, the last gen chugged along for far too long which also limited the games themselves. Although a future forcused on graphics is not a future I personally wish to see. That's why I'm more interested in games that actually push gameplay into areas unexplored.
Yeah, from what I've seen, Godus is beyond terrible. If you know what "freemium timers" are, it's full of them. It's one of THOSE games.

I'm just hoping for more games that are for the new only, they will come but with a massively Installed user base from last gen you can see the issues re: Sales for publishers. A new IP from Nintendo would be welcome and a new balls out God of War from Sony, they know how to stretch a systems capabilities!

They're making Splatoon, a pretty crazy-looking third-person shooter:

There was also The Wonderful 101 which wasn't made directly by Nintendo but is a new Nintendo IP regardless.
