Exclusive to PS4 and PC? Poor Xbox owners... :P

I still gotta get Ultra SFIV, although I think nothing will ever top the masterpieces that were SSFII:T and SFIII:TS. 2D fighters are just superior to 3D ones and this is non-debatable... (altho I like the Virtua Fighter series)

Street fighter 4 was pretty dull, unless they sort out the quarter turn controls for a modern pad it seems pointless. A bizarre 'exclusive' though.

Given that ultra sold about 500,000 copies with an installed base of 160 million 360/PS3's you could probably count the number of XB1 owners who care on one hand. Good to see some consistency from you playstation boys after the tomb raider outrage :)

Tomb Raider over Street Fighter anyday... but yeah, they are probably all timed exclusives anyhoo.

The only real question is how many iterations Capcom will try to get away with? Ultra Street Fighter 5 Turbo Ex?

Don't forget street fighter 5 HD, street fighter 5 directors cut and street fighter 5 SFRemake. Just get on with dragons dogma 2 and we'll all be happy.

Or forget the tweaks and put some twerks in there. Make it a Chun Li Ultra or something.

Guess Sony really wanted me around this generation huh. (And no, not a PC gamer).

Any idea of a release date?

My first thought is that it looks very stylistically similar to SF4, although I'm not really sure what other direction they could have gone down.

I really think this is being driven entirely by the desire to get Street Fighter onto next (or is it current now?) gen hardware as soon as they can, which is understandable, but its a bit soon really in my opinion.

I'm not sure why people are bashing Capcom again though for Street Fighter updates, 3 updates in over 5 years since SF4 was released is hardly excessive, regular SF4 to Super was a massive leap, but AE and Ultra were small increments that only the hardcore fans would really want to bother with. For that reason poor Ultra sales are a bit irrelevant in dismissing the importance of this as a possible PS4 exclusive, you need to be considering how much SF4 and Super SF4 sold, which I think you will find was quite a lot. I don't think Microsoft will be losing too much sleep over it, but it does make any future console purchase choices a lot easier for a lot of people, me included.

Brings back memories of the original Street Fighter II which was also console-exclusive to SNES...

It didn't take long for the "Turbo" version to come out tho, which was superior and also available for the Mega Drive (called "Special Championship Edition" there).

I'm glad to see the game get announced, I'll no doubt grab it day 1. I doubt that the game will stay exclusive though, it just seems like they'll release a "Super" style update after a year + and that'll come to the Xbox One as well.
