Well Revival is back in a couple of months.

Rubbish arcade location is Paignton. Just come back from a weekend there and there were hardly any video games in the 5 or so arcades at all. A couple had Mario Kart and also saw a couple of driving games but that was about all (other than a flappy birds game FFS)

One did have a cocktail cab in a corner with six games inc Frogger & Galaxian though so I guess it was a retro find!

The amusements at Hayling Island have a few classics, including a Star Wars cockpit.

I went there in March. Isn't there also a big 18 Wheeler machine?

Magic city in Clacton has (or used to have) the good old 4 player Simpsons arcade machine.

Played that loads many years ago on holiday in Cornwall.

Anyone looking for an arcade in N.Ireland is going to have a tough time. However the seaside town of Newcastle, Co. Down has a few half decent ones - plenty of games. Not many retro but at least they aren't fruit/ticket/prize machines only.

The Heart of Gaming in Acton, in West London has quite a few arcade cabs.

Then there's the new arcade in Haslingden - Arcade Club(although, I see that's already been mentioned). Spector has visited there - twice. He chatted about it on the IRC. Apparently, they will be moving to Bury soon.

There's also Arcadia on the Isle of Wight. That's still going.

I've heard there is one called The Leisure Exchange in Southampton. Apparently, there are quite a few cabs in there(House of the Dead, Rambo, Time Crisis, Sega Rally, Daytona, Sega Ferrari F355 Challenge, OutRun 2, etc.).

A shame that the old Casino Arcade closed down in London.

I used to drop in at the Casino Arcade when I was in London, and the Trocadero used to be good, back in the day. I miss arcades!

A few weeks ago I was in Margate and was sorely disappointed by the lack of games in the seaside arcades. The odd Mario Kart and Time Crisis shooter was the best I could find amongst all the penny pushers.

I think that's what was the SEGA Park, but the owners of the Bargate Centre it was in evicted everyone then went into receivership a few years ago. The whole building is marked for redevelopment.

What's going on with the Trocadero in London anyway? I was surprised to find all the entrances blocked, except for that small arcade of sweet shops that comes to a suspiciously short dead-end just in front of a manga t*t-pillow importer.

Margate is very rundown still - despite things like the Turner Gallery and Dreamland. Hell - they even have an American Diner now. The arcades though - they are a former shadow of themselves. It's pretty much all crane machines, one armed bandits and dance machines. I think I saw Daytona there - but it's slim pickings.

Ahh - I've heard that it was called that(the other name for The Leisure Exchange. So - it's gone now? What happened to the machines?

Last year when I went to Paigton pier they had Namco's 4D Terror, Transformers, 2 different Aliens games, a 20 in 1 Jamma cab, Star Wars phantom Menace pinball, Terminator and Mario Kart..

Another arcade had the original sit down 1986 Out Run working, TMNT, House of the Dead 1, Time Crisis 1, Silent Scope, Star Wars arcade, Confidential mission, TMNT Pinball, Hook Pinball and something called Eggs Adventure, also a Konami racing game from 1981 that was turned off..

Seems like Paigton's gone down hill

Barry Island did have a few jamma's namely Operation Wolf, Killer Instinct and Wonderboy in Monster World and one arcade had Planet Harriers

Our Ciniworld has
Chase HQ 2, Mario Kart, Silent Hill and a broken Fist of the North Star
