The Hobbit. Poxy game killed my first Spectrum (well, indirectly - it wound me up so much I ripped out the joystick interface whilst it was powered on. Result: one dead ULA)

Super Mario Bros on the Gameboy - bored me rigid.

Jet Set Willy - a feeling of lingering guilt is lifting each time someone says they thought it was crap. I love the concept, the graphics were good for the time, the play field is huge, but it just doesn't grip me. Can't deny its iconic power though - I had to restrain myself from spending £25 on a signed copy of it from some eBay shop a while back!

Space Invaders and Pac Man - undecided on these - years ago I played them to death on the 2600 and at the arcades, but I wouldn't want to play through a single game on them now.

These last two may be too new to be truly retro, but I just can't get into Metroid Prime or Time Splitters 2 on the 'cube. After playing Resi 4, Metroid Prime seems cartoony and uninvolving. Time Splitter's pathetic aiming system with the C stick ruins it (plus the whole movement of it made me feel incredibly sea-sick!). Both games are in various 'top ten best gamecube games' lists.

New Zealand Story. Hate it with a passion. That includes the arcade, Speccy and 16 bit versions.

Alien 8

- I'm not sure if I despised this when I first got it, but it was very tough. Crash came to the rescue - or so I thought; after spending about an hour typing in a very complex poke for infinite lives, then literally hours more trying to complete the game I still failed. I really hate it now...

Why??

I've finally just started playing this (in treaining) and am not liking the double /high jump shenanigans!

Half Life 2 looks really good, although I prefer the futuristic setting!

Bubble Bobble. I can't get into it at all. The music is irritating to the point where one would benefit from a padded cell and Rainbow Islands is infinitely better.
 Shocked and stunned at this choice. Brilliant game. Yeah the music gets on yer tits after a while but the game is soooooooooo perfectly done. It's like saying Mario games are turd.
Bring back Thingy and Rockford!!! Zzap 64 liberation front!!! :):):)

crap weapons , way too slow pace - and the graphics make me wanna puke - not because they're bad , but because it's the first game in years that gives me motion sickness

I always hated sensible soccer. Found it easy.3 passes, shot with bend goal. When playing with the mates always ended up stupid scorelines.
Add the FIFA series to this. Utter rubbish
