Your own arcade

Post by ncf1 » Thu Sep 11, 2014 8:54 pm

Ive just been watching 'The King of Arcades' and I thought ok.. just say some nice person lets you rent out a space in the mall that can fit 10 arcade machines in (and gives you wads of cash just for good measure, such a lovely chap) : what machines would your own personal amusement centre contain? Not for anyone's else's pleasure mind you - just your own arcade, to your tastes.

I think my private arcade would be something like :

1. Double Dragon
2. Outrun
3. Virtual Striker 2
4. Galaga
5. Powerdrift
6. Rastan
7. Pacman
8. NBA Jam
9. Virtua Tennis 2
10. Final Fight

I'd also chuck in a few pinballs down the back, namely :

* Indiana Jones Adventure
* Tales Of The Arabian Nights
* Cirqus Voltaire

and I think that would entice a few customers in. If not, fine I'll just lock the doors and play by myself, doesn't bother me.

Some great choice in these lists so far :D , with being an arcade loving censored, my ten would be

1. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
2. Paperboy
3. Outrun (sit down)
4. Kung Fu Master
5. Shadow Warriors (Ninja Gaiden)
6. Chase H.Q. (sit down)
7. Stun Runner (sit down)
8. R-Type 2
9. Rolling Thunder
10. Shinobi

I could nearly triple to that list, but this would be my ultimate little arcade corner :)

So many to choose from should be a top 30, 40 or even 50

1) Final Fight
2) Legionnaires
3) Sit down Out Run
4) Killer Instinct 1
5) Bad dudes vs Dragon Ninja
6) Gorf or Astro Blaster both have really cool speech
7) Rodlands
8) Donkey Kong
9) Vendetta
10) Starblade Alpha "calling Starfighter Geosword, calling Geosword"
