Terra Cresta on console

Post by Mire Mare » Tue Sep 02, 2014 8:02 am

Does anyone know if vertical shmup Terra Cresta was released on a console? Perhaps as a part of a collection on PS, PS2 or something?

NES and PS2, I've got the PS2 version, although I've not played it and it's a japanese only one.

Hmmm... cheers, Felge. I may have to go down the MAME route to play this.

I remember buying this on the C64... my brother loved it. But why not just play the mame (arcade) version?!

See also the Spectrum version of Moon Cresta, a port which came years too late but is very close to the original, well worth checking out imo.

Other than the eight bit computer versions, the closest thing to it on a console that I know of is Terra Cresta II on the P.C Engine.

Terra Cresta 3D on the Saturn is a cool game. I thought the C64 version was a great 8 bit conversion - sublime Galway title page music... and there is a quite obscure sequel to Terra Cresta on Mame from the same company but the name escapes me.
