What system do you regularly play on?

Post by GigaPepsiMan » Wed Jul 09, 2014 9:17 am

If you were to play a game right now at this moment, what system would be your go to machine.

Recently for me it has been nothing but Dreamcast, Wii and Gamecube games via my wii.

The games console I go back to the most often is the Vectrex.

Although, I also occasionally dust off the PlayStation 1 to play Future Cop and also the Xbox (original) which has 1000s of MAME ROMS.

My A1200 which has every Amiga game ever released on it.

I have a massive backlog of PC games (roughly 700) and yet I keep going back to my Amiga.

PC is my core gaming machine.

If talking about just a console though, it's the 7800, which has a permanent spot next to the keyboard and gets used frequently. Mostly the 2600's games on there, but I do have some of the 7800 ones as well.

The NES and such also when I can be bothered to hook them up.

Other than that, my iPad.

My iphone.

Love it, got 500+ apps on it, tons of magazines, music, films. Lots of emulators, MAME/Speccy/NES/Megadrive/GB/GBA, Vectrex/40+ tables on Pinball Arcade. Can hook it up to the tv as well and use a gamepad on many of them.

With a young daughter (and another one on the way) its still the best way for me to get a bit of gaming in here and there

Vita, closely followed by the PS3 & 360.

Right now, it'd have to be my phone as I'm still at work!

Then again, at least I'd have 120-odd games and 7 emulators to choose from.

Probably my PS3 or PS2/PS1. My other stuff is packed away for now (not enough room to have everything set up), the Wii is broken (waiting to replace it with a Wii-U) and the batteries on all my handhelds are currently dead.
Retro is a state of mind, and cares not for your puny concepts like dates and calendars.

My Vita, the suspend/resume feature and it's portable nature just makes it the easiest to pick-up and play.
I wish I could use it for every 2D game.

PC. It serves as the "all in one" system to me. I occasionally hook up my (older) consoles but usually I can't be bothered.

Game Boy Pocket - quite distinctive nowadays - and far easier on the pocket than the classic model.

I'm a bad retro gamer... my most regular system would be my PS3 and my PC.

On the plus side, one of my most recently played games on my PC was Heroes of Might and Magic 3 and King's Bounty (the original).
