Misleading title, as who can varify it is the world's largest collection? May be another underground collector who doesnt want the attention.
Either way the is a whole bunch of money!

If it can fit add "on record" after the word colelction because that is exactly what the collection is, the largest recorded, no the biggest just the biggest recorded. I read somewhere that the prices averages at $68 a game or something like that.

Would of thought it of gone to the million point considering how much gold NWC carts go for, but meh...

I would have thought it would go for more but I guess the problem is sheer volume. Individually I am sure it would be more but as a lot, there has got to be a small market for that.

Erm...yeah. Think I'd rather buy a house or something for that...and still have change for a nice games unit of some sort.
To each their own, of course

i would put money on one of those 20 being a complete master system u.s collection.
a mate of mine in america has recently completed his u.s master system collection and its not all that big, its about half the size of my ms collection (which includes a decent size u.s collection as well)
it doesnt have any of the hard to find stuff like smurfs 2 or buggy run, and can be bought for roughly $300 including the jewel in the crown that is james buster douglas boxing (basically heavyweight champ but with a different box, manual, cart text and title screen)

Blimey. You could almost afford Spence's auction for FIFA 96 with that kind of moeny

honestly? yes unless it simply HAS to be an ntsc copy, which with no regional lockout and many copies being sold in the states as us copies when they are pal would be pointless.RetroBob wrote:$300 including Sonic 1?
i've been helping one of the guys on sega8bit with this and it is surprisingly straightforward with a bit of patience
