you don't have to, I appreciate all the tips and advice.

I paid one of the NPC's 2000 souls to open up a new route, forget the name but it's a forest area, was doing ok but then got killed by a red phantom thing at the end of a bridge, managed to find a whip which seems pretty good to use too!

gave up against the dark spirit, seems too powerful at the moment, went the other way and beat the Skeleton Lords (first time), now in a new area.

Dark Souls is amazing, one of the best games I have played.

DS2 is very good too, I'm at the Iron Keep now, just beaten that medusa type boss.

couldn't beat her in all the poison, but then found out you could burn the windmill to remove it all, made the fight much easier and beat her the 2nd time.

now at the Iron Keep, the Smelter Demon is the toughest boss I have faced so far, haven't come close to killing him, will probably have to reverse hollow and summon some help

Iirc there's a boss after him if you hang around in his room later on. A phantom of an earlier boss, who is very tough. One of the many points I lost interest in.

Smelter demon is defeated!

reversed hollow and summoned a phantom, also put a load of souls into getting my armour to +5 which seemed to make a difference.

now need to get some more twinling titanite so I can upgrade my drangelic sword

have now also killed the old iron king, then went back and killed that chariot boss from the forest area.

think its the gutter next, couldn't access the area after the iron king, need to light another primal bonfire somewhere

have now taken down The Rotten, was a tough fight and died the first few times but decided to use just the bow, first time I have killed a boss using purely a ranged attack.

then onto that scorpion boss and killed her too, another tough battle but if you stay on that bit of solid ground it makes it much easier (reminded me of the film Tremors)

Im in Brightstone Cove now, have lit two primal bonfires, think it's one more to unlock the final levels?

brilliant game

just beat the Congregation (mini boss I think), three casters and a group of undead, did it first time too, a couple of close moments as my health was right down but managed to use the flasks in time.
