RETRO game music done in Acapella - Great Listen!

Post by DoraemonTheCat » Thu Jan 02, 2014 7:10 pm

Possibly the collest thing I've seen and heard so far this year.....well, we are only 2 days in

A sumptuous selection of RETRO game music done in Acapella. Lots of great SEGA and Nintendo games covered, link to a few of the cooler ones :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIYR7mq3PJQ - Streets of Rage II (Dreamer)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFj60cLeGJI - Tetris (Theme B)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndiD8V7zpAs - Super Mario World (Overworld Theme)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CgAEMZBRGI0 - Zelda : A Link To The Past (Overworld Theme)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iW_Ct49H1ng - Mega Man 2 (Dr. Wily Stage)

Really loving the Sonic and Streets of Rage II ones. So which do you like?

And my personal faves :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP45zY2Nrms - Street Fighter II (Ken)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qwKCQ4M2Nw - Street Fighter II (Guile)

Hats off to this guy. I think they are really wicked.

Saw these a coupleof weeks back (was it a thread here?). Really well done, quite impressive, but mostly tunes I don't relate to. When he does do one I like however, its amazing.

We should petition him to do Exolon or When Time Stood Still. But he's probably too young....

Saw a few of these a while ago, forwarded onto 3 mates, all 3 said they hated it and was the most annoying videos they had ever heard.
So I didn't bother telling anyone else haha!

But then again they aren't into retro gaming, so there.
